on spiritual baths

A client asked if she could make up a sort of “splash” with the ingredients I recommended to her as part of her spiritual work, as bathing is not part of her regular routine (she prefers to shower).

The splash idea sounds good, but it won’t give you the effects that a bath would. In a way, a spiritual bath is not part of much of anyone’s regular routine anymore, and that’s part of the point. It’s a cleansing and dedicatory event on its own as well as having spiritual effects related to the ingredients. I am a shower person myself, and for a while was having back trouble so bad that I couldn’t clean the tub as thoroughly as I felt I should for a bath, so I would stand in the shower and pour the bowl of prepared bath water onto my body while standing; if you really don’t like to bathe you might try that.
